About Betty Tyler
Betty Tyler’s art --- colorful, sometimes bold, and always keenly designed--- is bonded to her Piedmont North Carolina farm heritage.
She has studied art at N.C. State University, Florence, Italy and with National Art Educators. Participation in the many mentor-program events has paved the way for this artist to gain the experience and exposure she needed to endure and emerge. Her art has been placed in homes, galleries, businesses and Universities. For four years Betty served as an executive board member to Alamance Arts and is a member of the Portrait Society of America.
Betty creates classical custom oil portrait paintings for official, corporate and private commissions. Her work is a perfect example of how a modern master of classical realism can incorporate a contemporary aesthetic with a classical painting sensibility. With every portrait she paints it offers the opportunity to bring joy into the life of others.
